1. The platform

RoomFind provides an online marketplace where advertisers can publish rooms for rent and seekers can discover them. RoomFind is not a party to rental agreements between users and does not act as an estate agent unless explicitly stated.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information, keep your password secret, and be at least 18 years old (or use the platform with a guardian). One account per person. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.

3. Listing rules

• Only advertise rooms you are authorised to let.
• Descriptions, prices, photos and availability must be honest and current.
• No discrimination, hate speech, or offensive content.
• No fees for “viewing” a room, and no advance-fee scams.
• Photos must show the actual room/property or be clearly labelled otherwise.

4. Moderation

Listings may be reviewed before or after publication. We may approve, reject, pause or remove listings that breach our rules, and we may keep records for safety purposes.

5. Safety & payments

Always view accommodation in person before paying. Never pay cash without a signed receipt. RoomFind does not guarantee any listing or user unless explicitly marked as verified through a stated verification process.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to spam, scrape, hack, misrepresent your identity, upload malware, or interfere with the service. Private messages may never be used for harassment or fraud.

7. Liability

The platform is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, we are not liable for losses arising from rental agreements, user conduct, or reliance on listing content. Nothing limits rights you have under consumer-protection law.
